Zenith



Zenith is the annual intra-college Astrofest organised by the club. The astrofest saw a large participation with enthusiastic astrophysicists talking about various amazing topics ranging from Black Holes to Galaxies in "Aurora". Some Computer Science Enthusiasts did a week long hacking to create amazing applications. On the other side of campus of IIT Mandi, some students were participating in "Pandora's Box" to win cool prizes. This all was flavoured by some amazing talks by Bhavya Bhatt, Abhijeet Manhas and Shreyas Bapat.

How do we look at Universe?

Why space! Has this question ever struck you? Why do we go to space? Why do we invest so much in Telescopes? Why do we run this club? What do we get by keeping an eye on sky? Well, Do you know NASA has an annual budget of ₹15,31,07,95,00,000.00!!
Look at the zeros! That's a lot of investment.
We will first try to understand the logistics of these huge investments in space and then look at the sky with(out?) telescopes!

Zenith'19 brings you Pandora's Box; an Astronomy quiz scheduled on 15 September 7:15 PM. It would encompass everything from solar system to stars, from black holes to theories and more you will know about in the quiz.
